Mount Lofty in South Australia for Water H2O Thursday
Joel had a friend who was recently wed in Adelaide, South Australia, and I had the pleasure of accompanying him on a journey through the picturesque Adelaide Hills. We travelled leisurely through the region, delighting in its tranquil beauty and storied landscape. On the first day, we found ourselves amidst the grandeur of Mount Lofty, whose summit offers commanding views across the plains to the sea. Our time there was crowned with a visit to the Mount Lofty House, a historic mansion dating back to the 1850s. Once the summer residence of Arthur Hardy, a prominent colonial barrister and pastoralist, the estate is steeped in the heritage of South Australia's early European settlement. Within this stately home, we dined at the acclaimed three-hatted Hardy’s Verandah Restaurant. The experience was nothing short of exquisite—the cuisine was refined, the service gracious, and the atmosphere imbued with both elegance and a profound sense of place. Overlooking manicured gardens and the sweeping Piccadilly Valley beyond, it was a moment suspended in time, where nature, history, and hospitality converged to offer a most memorable evening BUY PRINTS AND WALL MOUNTS HERE
