Big Buddha Parkland locates in Bagua Mountain in Changhua. It is tight to Changhua downtown. The black body Sakya Big Buddha statue is the special landmark and spirit representation of Changhua City. From Bagua Mountain going through the Big Buddha archway, walking along till the end of the way, there is Big Buddha sitting up straight in the wide place. Bagua Mountains Big Buddha was built in 1961, the body is curved with the ferroconcrete sculpture. The height is about 13 foot with width of 7.2 foot, which became one of the biggest Buddha statues in Asia in the early years.

In front of the big Buddha is a large stone gate and two huge stone lions. On the left is an aquarium and to the rear the Big Buddha Hall. Behind the hall are two eight story pagodas offering visitors a stunning view of the city. Recently, the Changhua government has developed the parks and boulevard around the statue. There is a tourist centre, multi-media centre, community cultural exhibitions, gift shops, restaurants and some attractive park areas providing a peaceful respite from the traffic of Changhua city.
