Safety Beach, Melbourne for Water H2O ThursdaySafety Beach, situated on the Mornington Peninsula just over an hour’s drive from Melbourne, became one of the locales Joel and I explored when we wished to remain relatively close to the city. Renowned for its gently sloping sandy shores, calm waters, and views across Port Phillip Bay, it offers a serene retreat from the urban bustle. Our visits, initially intended as a brief excursion, extended into four consecutive trips, each motivated by a desire to discover a new vantage point for capturing the sunset’s fleeting splendour. The interplay of soft golden light upon the water and the distant silhouettes of yachts and rugged coastline proved irresistible to our photographic pursuits.
